America's New "Silent Majority"

Are we finally hearing Canada's "Silent Majority" speaking out? The good folks to the north, out of a desire to be "tolerant," allowed their leaders to persuade them that the mental disorder called Progressive Liberalism was a good thing. Perhaps we are seeing time and nature swing the pendulum back toward common sense in Canada.

It is time our fellow Americans on the Left to do the same. The majority of the Left consists of good, bright and and well-meaning moderate Democrats who have become the new "Silent Majority" in America. It is time for them to take back their party. They might take a lesson from our neighbors to the north. We all know who has silenced moderate liberals in the U.S. We all know who they have to dump if they are ever to recapture America's Main Street ...and its leadership. Blow-hard far-Left Progressive politicians like Dean and Pelosi and Schumer and that club come to mind. But most of all they ought to finally do something with that archetype for all Hollywood white-haired drunken corrupt Senators. I speak of Ted Kennedy.

This asshole sat there during the Judge Alito (or "Alioto" as he was wont to call him) Senate confirmation hearings, wagging his hands at the camera, with fingers as crooked as his history. Alito, he said, was this; Alito, he said, was that. It was obvious to any clear-headed viewer that the Senator was simply a puppet for fellow Senator Feinstein and the bevy of young lawyerly aides stuffing Ted's hands with pies of mud dug up on LexisNexis. That this clutz was following her directions became obvious when Ted stumbled over the written words and Ms Feinstein actually blurted out something to the effect that Ted should read the rest of it. The woman became near-apoplectic at Ted's inability to read the talking points which she had obviously compiled for his bloodshot brain. This was high entertainment for those who watched carefully.

Why do the good people of Massachusetts continue to re-elect this putz? Because he wears his suits well? Can anyone be that vapid? Or is the system so corrupt in the Commonwealth that Ted simply buys his re-election each cycle?

While Kennedy railed on and on and on about some arcane membership to some dopey organization from Alito's college days, I kept seeing his older brothers John and Bobby slapping their foreheads and crying "Oy." I imagined that they were spinning in their graves so fast that had they been buried with magnets in their pockets, they would have generated enough electricity to power all the lamps on that massive pork-barrel highway in Boston.

In 1973 the Senator actually posited the question "Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law? Or is there one system for the average citizen and another for the high and mighty?" A bizarre comment coming from a man who a few years earlier, in 1969, drove off a bridge which resulted in the drowning of Mary Jo Kopechne and then had the case whitewashed. Massachusetts State Police Detective, Lieutenant George Killen, publicly declared that "Senator Kennedy killed that girl the same as if he put a gun to her head and pulled the trigger." Oh yeh, you can read about the entire ugly episode at:

The overwhelming evidence points to a cover-up plain and simple. The wealthy, influential Kennedy name was enough to deny justice for poor Mary. I ask you, supporters of this hypocrite, is this the system of equal justice under law you are so quick to quote? Or is there indeed one system for the average citizen and another for our high and mighty Senator?

Now, my Democrat friends, you tell me, is a man of this character fit to be the most influential of your party's Senators? Is a man with this background someone you actually support? Then why in hell is he still there!? Your fellow Democrats were ready to overturn a presidential election because you thought GW maybe did or maybe didn't fib about something in his youth. But you continue to support a man who, in order to protect his "reputation," stood by as a lovely young woman drowned in his car. Is a man with Kennedy's record fit to judge Judge Alito, or anyone else for that matter?

I am not going to argue that Republicans are all that much cleaner when it comes to their dealings. Apparently they are not. But for us American citizens the difference is this; Republican leadership at LEAST seems to grasp that America is being challenged, no... threatened... by a massive movement fueled by hatred for all the Western world stands for. And that includes you liberals. While Kennedy and his Progressive cohorts and America-hating financial supporters, blinded by their hatred of being the minority party, would do all they can to make it easier for America's enemies. For this he should be turned out of office in disgrace. And if there is a hell, he should rot in it. Just as the "Silent Majority" in Canada finally spoke out, when moderate Democrats elect a higher quality of representative to replace Kennedy and his gang, it will be first and foremost YOUR victory.
